ALL CONCERNED:

Construction at Dundee Cement Co. is now in completion stage and the industry has advised us of their desire to perform internal plant switching with their own power.

The present (and future) track arrangement and designation at Dundee Cement Co. shown below for your information; starting with first track south of main.

No. 1 - Ann Arbor R.R. receiving track - (used jointly)

No. 2 - Cement Company receiving track – (used jointly)

No. 3 – Future construction

No. 4 - Future construction

No. 5 - Cement Company private unloading track

No. 6 - Cement Company private loading track

No. 7 - Cement Company private loading track

Ann Arbor will deliver all cars for cement plant unloading or loading on track No. 2, and will make no moves on lead or tracks beyond the switches at either end of No. 2 track, without specific instructions from superintendent.

Cement Company will deliver all cars for Ann Arbor R.R., loaded or empty on track No. 1

Cement Company’s engine will not be left unattended in tracks Nos. 1 and 2.  In breakdown, derailment or emergency, that would block the joint use of Nos. 1 and 2, immediate notice must be given by the party involved to the other party, and protection arranged.

Careful observation must be maintained when performing work at cement plant, and plant engine is working, oral communication and understanding had with crew, if necessary, to avoid possible confusion or conflicting moves.

By agreement between this Company and the Dundee Cement Company, both former Day Road and Bigelow Road crossings will be continued as PRIVATE crossings, subject conditions of the agreement.  Crossing signs and whistling posts are being continued and all rules prescribing signals by whistle; bell;, blocking, or other— public crossings will apply.

It is very important to the Ann Arbor R.R. and its employees that we render satisfactory service, performed willingly, cheerfully and courteously to this new and welcome industry on our line.

Be governed accordingly.
